One of my favorite verses, verse 18: The LORD is close to the brokenhearted;
and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.
Talitha Koum- Catholic Diocese of Wichita KS
The Mission of Talitha Koum is to provide divorced, widowed, separated, or never married mothers of the Catholic Diocese of Wichita, support through Christ-centered education, friendship, and mutual service within a Catholic community. We take our name from Mark 5:41-43. "He took her by the hand. Then he said to her, "Talitha koum!" This means, "Little girl, I say to you, get up!"

Happy Triduum
Good Afternoon
beautiful mothers!
This is my favorite
season of the liturgical year, the Triduum- holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy
Saturday leading to the Resurrection!!
The time we remember how Jesus showed us how much he loves us when he
gave his body and every drop of His blood so that we might live. During the darkest hours of my divorce it was
comforting to know that Jesus suffered more than I and he KNOWS my pain. When he wept in the garden, praying that the
Father take this suffering away but only if it was His will, i felt the courage
to pray too that my cross be taken away and also had the courage to ask for the
grace to carry on until my own personal resurrection from pain would
occur. That is my prayer for all of you
that you don’t lose hope that God can and will raise you from your current pain
if you put yourself in His wonderfully caring, gently yet almighty hands.
I read this great article on praying for those who
hurt you and found it very meaningful. And it is so less painful than you are
imaging right now;) http://www.ncregister.com/blog/jennifer-fulwiler/praying-for-people-you-cant-pray-for

Happy V Day
Good
Morning beautiful mothers! On this day of commercialized love i wanted
to remind you that God,the author of love, whose love is beyond all
telling, loves you deeper than you will know in this world. You are his
pearl of great price that he sacrificed his only son so that you might
see how deep his love is for you. You are his princess, daughter of the
Father. His Son, Jesus is THE love of your life. He desires you more
than any mortal man ever will. He loves you perfectly and infinitely.
He sees how beautiful you are inside and out and it pleases him. I
invite you to take a moment to contemplate with an open heart, this
unseen reality. If you are unsure, imagine what it would be like to be
loved beyond all telling. And then ask the Holy Spirit to show you.

TK Changes
Good Morning beautiful mothers! For those of you who
weren’t able to make it to our gathering Saturday or had to leave early, we are
having some changes in TK. Last Saturday was our last regularly scheduled
meeting. We will no longer be meeting every month. We do intend to
maintain our TK email and blog and if you need anything you can contact us via email. We also plan to have about 2 gatherings
a year. Diana wishes to continue the annual Valentine’s gathering and we will
do something in the summer.
- You are experiencing a new sense of God in your life and question where that is leading.
- You are experiencing a distance from God, the Church, or your faith.
- You are facing an important decision or transition in your life.
- You simply need a companion as you continue to live your baptismal call in your vocation.
What
Spiritual Direction is not: It is not emotional counseling or
psychotherapy. It is not marriage counseling, nor is it a self-help
course. All of these have their proper place, but they are not Spiritual
Direction.
If anyone wishes to call an informal TK girls night out or
in, feel free to do so!
May God bless each of you and your children, through the
intercession of the Mediatrix of all Graces, His Mother, Mary.

Mark
5:41-43 "He took her by the hand. Then he said to her, "Talitha
koum!" This means, "Little girl, I say to you, get up!" Right
away she stood up and walked around. They were totally amazed at this. Jesus
gave strict orders not to let anyone know what had happened. And he told them
to give her something to eat."
